Houston's National-Award-winning, accredited Kitchen and Bath Designer, who specializes in easy living design (Universal Design), Accessible Design and Aging in Place.

Barb is the President of Designs Anew Houston LLC, an interior design firm specializing in residential kitchen and bath design for remodeling and new construction projects. Designs Anew Houston's main focus is design for all ages, abilities and sizes to live independently and safely.

Barb attends national and international conferences where she has taught several classes, as well as has published and been featured in many trade magazine articles.

She holds an MFA in Interior Design and is an Adjunct Professor in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Houston since 2015.

Barb worked in the new construction industry as a senior designer before starting her own firm. A proud member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association, she has earned the AKBD accreditation and was on the local board of National Kitchen and Bath Association for several years. She is a member of the Greater Houston Builder's Association and the Remodeler's Council. She is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders( NAHB) and an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Barb has previously served as a member of the Learning Content Sub-Committee of the NAHB Remodelers Board.
